Pei Xuan had asked me, in January 2025, to write an introduction of Sigar Highlands, and I wrote what I had intended as the first chapter of SHSDC, Sigar Highlands Sustainable Development Centre.

I was trying to make the perfect story, structure and website, but I realised, it’s really to tell the story, as it is lived. And as we are living it!

That’s really the spirit of SHSDC, the daring, the moral courage, to follow the way of the land.

When you can name yourself, you have articulated your vision for your mission. It is your identity of your being. And when you can name the reason for your being, then you can begin living your significance.

The logo is a sunrose of a new dawn of a new age:

ANTHROPOCENE.

As we fly
Across mountains, rivers and the oceans
I see the awakening
Rainbow warriors
Each riding an animal
Spirit arising, announcing:
It is dawn. A new day has arrived.
The land beneath the sea has beckoned 
our arising – the beautiful people of earth
Walking the sunrose of one simple truth:
Love.

As we land
On mountains, in rivers and oceans
It is solid ground
The seas smile
The rainbow warriors greet each other
All the spirit animals take stand
guarding every corner of earth:
No sorries, only love.

As we stand 
On One Love
The Great Peace is felt 
across all lands,
rivers, oceans, mountains
and hearts.
Once more
And forever more:
Always.

We live as we live.
Big, grand, happy, soaring 
Truth
Freedom
Courage
Daring
The Great Big
One Love
of Rainbow Warriors.
Of all times
And all space:

One.
